Food was fine. Portion is pretty good. It was not very busy when we went but service still seems to be slower than expected. It was not bad, it just took us a little longer in the restaurant than an hour. Our kids meal was supposed to have some kind of vegetables on the side and a dessert for the kids but our kids didn't get both the vegetables and dessert and we were charged for their drinks. I didn't bother clarifying anymore. It's okay. Other than that, nothing extremely special. Mighr be a great place if you want to have a couple of drinks with the guys. If you download the app, you also get a free serving of cheesy garlic bread that's worth $20. If it's your birthday, you get a coupon for a free three stack nacho that's valid until the end of your birthday month. But you can only use one coupon per table. On top of this, on your birthday, you get either a free shot or a free birthday cake. Not exactly a kind of food I would crave or got me intrigued. Overall, price is reasonable. Portions are good. It's definitely a sports bar, not so much for a sit down restaurant.
The Canadian Brewhouse in Red Deer is one of my favorite go-to spots, especially when I’m craving something I know I’ll love. The atmosphere is always lively and comfortable, whether you’re there to watch a game, meet friends, or just enjoy a relaxed meal. I almost always order the taco salad, and it never disappoints. It’s fresh, filling, and full of flavor, with a great balance of ingredients that makes it feel satisfying without being heavy. It’s one of those dishes I keep coming back for because it’s consistently good every single time. The service at this location is friendly and attentive, and even when it’s busy, you feel looked after. It’s an easy place to settle in and enjoy yourself without feeling rushed. Overall, The Canadian Brewhouse in Red Deer is a solid, dependable spot with good food, a fun vibe, and a taco salad that keeps me coming back.
I was really looking forward to this visit since it was my birthday and my first time going out as a legal adult, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by our server. She made several rude side comments that felt disrespectful and unnecessary, which completely took away from what should’ve been a fun night. I understand everyone has off days, but basic kindness and professionalism go a long way, especially when serving guests celebrating something special. The food was fine, but because of the service, I wouldn’t rush to come back.
We have been long time supporters of CBH. Jan 2026 we attended after some absebse as things were slowly going down. This visit was a Train wreck disaster. They were busy but understaffed which is no excuse when they have majority of tables reserved so they knew they were going to be busy. The service was extremely poor with lith drink refills and no table service. The order was mixed up and parts were not cooked correctly. Now I know your going to say did you complain. They were not available to complain to. The server asked how thing were after we left food on the plates because it was non eatable. They we were overcharged on the bill. Overall experience was 2.5 at best. The sad part about things is we have gave them 5 star for years. Not this time
The steak sandwich is not the best, the steak is so chewy, the burgers was good, greasy fries, the pizza with two topping was on special on Sunday for 9.99. The payment processing took over 10 minutes as the machine wasn’t connecting to network then the host had to do it on the computer as we were using the gift cards.
