Very disappointing experience at Rancher’s Castle in Ponoka. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just for a server to take our order, and it wasn’t even the original one who came. Then we waited another half hour for our food. On top of that, the table wasn’t properly cleaned and the overall atmosphere felt neglected and unwelcoming. The long wait and lack of cleanliness made it not worth it at all.

Our server was polite and interested in us. She made recommendations for our meal and was thoughtful and responsive with our order. The food was very good, hot and flavourful. Service continued to be timely.

We had ranchers castle cater our wedding on September 27th at pine and pond. My mother-in-law suggested ranchers castle as the cater because they have always treated her so well. Dylan and his staff went above and beyond with the quality of food, the presentation, and dealing with the covid restrictions. It was so good that people still talk about it. One of his staff members is an artist and sculpted two swans out of styrofoam and painted it just for us. We got donuts from Toilers for the dessert and they even put the donuts out for us even though they didn’t have to. We really appreciate everything Ranchers castle did and highly recommend them for catering services or an awesome restaurant to eat at as they treat you like family.

There’s really nowhere in Ponoka or nearby to find good cooked prime ribs, steaks, or even Greek food and pasta like Ranches Castle Family Restaurant.
Garlic ribs are my absolute fave, lol! I always have to get them on most Fridays.
