I want to start by saying I have absolutely no animosity toward Cleo’s. They genuinely serve some of the best food I’ve ever had. The crinkle-cut fries in the poutines are incredible, and the Donair wraps were absolutely amazing. The quality of the food is consistently impressive, and the staff are always welcoming and kind.
That said, I was deeply disappointed with the delivery experience I had last night. I stopped in at lunch to ask if delivery was available and scheduled an order for 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the food didn’t arrive until 7:00 p.m., nearly an hour late. I completely understand that accidents and delays happen — that’s part of life — but being that late without proactive communication isn’t the best way to build a strong relationship with customers.
While the food itself was still excellent, the delay really impacted the overall experience.
I truly value Cleo’s and would love to continue supporting them. I’m more than happy to update this review to five stars, as I believe the food and in-house service deserve it. I would just appreciate some form of acknowledgment or reconciliation regarding the delivery issue.
I’m hopeful this was just an off night, because the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff are absolutely worth coming back for.

I honestly believe this might be the best donair spot in Alberta! I have never had a bad meal here. The staff is great, but the food, is undeniable. The veggies are always fresh, their sauces they blend together are incredible, and the meat is perfectly seasoned, not bland and greasy like some other places you might go too. Plus, grilling it before they serve it to you, is just the perfect way to button it all up.
Seriously, try it out and I highly doubt you will be disappointed. I now have to drive from Edmonton to get one, but believe me, worth it!

My favourite donair in the world. I have had donairs all over North America, and Europe. This family run restaurant has the best garlic sauce, best donair meat, best staff. You don’t need anything fancy. Meat, pickle onion and cheese. Double garlic sauce and ask for it to grilled crispy! This has been my gold standard since 2005. It’s a must stop if you are in the red deer area.

I've been a customer there since 2009, and I used to really like the place, but I'm never going back after my last visit. They raised the price for the donair, which is fair, but they also shrunk the portion size. On Halloween, October 30th, I ordered a supreme beef donair, but I got a regular size instead. Even the lady in the Halloween costume who wrapped it said it looked funny, meaning the shape, but she still promised it was a supreme.
I'm so shocked, and I'm definitely telling all my friends about this and not to visit this place. It must be a trick or treat joke or something.

Not a good spot to go for a Donair. Ordered 2 donairs and a poutine which took 40 minutes to be ready. Bad sign number 1. Given the amount of time it took I figured it would at least be fresh. No. The chicken was dry and was early made ateast a day ago. The beef shwarma was also dry and old.
Poutine was the best part and I wasn't there for poutine we really wanted shwarma.
For the price I would've assumed decent portion size. Also no. Tiny portion size. Practically no veggies at all. Basically entirely onions. Paid extra for pickles. Literally 2 pickles. Need to pay extra for each additional type of veggie. $0.50 for pickles, banana pepper, green peppers, jalepeno peppers. An already expensive Donair practically double in price to get all the veggies. Cheese is an extra $1.50.
Was expecting some authentic shwarma and have left Extremely disappointed and very dissatisfied.
I'd recommend against ever coming here.
