Glen’s Restaurant is a cozy spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of comfort foods, all well-prepared and flavorful. I particularly enjoyed their mains, which were both satisfying and generously portioned. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. Tip: try to visit during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter meal, as it can get busy during weekends. Overall, a great stop for a wholesome meal while exploring the area.
Glen’s Gift Shop is a charming place to find unique souvenirs and local crafts. The store is well-organized, the selection is wide, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Tip: take your time exploring, as there are many hidden treasures throughout the shop.

Absolutely love Glen Restaurant in Red Deer – it’s become our go-to spot!
The soup is hands-down the best I’ve ever had: always steaming hot, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The buns are pure heaven – soft, warm, and so yummy you’ll fight over the last one. The pot of chamomile tea wow, it’s refreshing, unique, and just perfect “ . And don’t get me started on the cookies – fresh-baked, melt-in-your-mouth amazing every single time.
What really makes this place special, though, are the people. The owner’s son is always so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely happy to see you – it feels like family. Our waitress Nancy is an absolute gem: attentive, quick, and always has a smile that brightens the whole meal.
Fantastic food, warm atmosphere, and wonderful service. Glen Restaurant never disappoints – highly recommend! We’ll be back very soon. ❤️

This is a “must stop at” in Red Deer. Eat here first. Then go next door to the Donut Mill to get things for the trip home.
The exterior of this restaurant is darling. The entrance has a tea store with a bona fide selection of teas. I love getting different varieties as gifts.
I also LOVE getting the cinnamon buns as gifts. No lie, one cinnamon bun can be shared by a family of four. They are huge and delicious.
I also adore the berry syrup here. I could drink it straight from the bottle, it’s so tasty.
I need to come back to Red Deer because so much of the menu looks good here!

We stopped in for tea after hearing they had a large and interesting selection—and they definitely do! The tea menu was 28 pages long, with a wide range of options from herbal to classic blends. We were excited to explore it.
At the front, we let the host know we were just here for tea, and he welcomed us warmly and seated us right away, which was a great start.
Unfortunately, the service that followed didn’t quite match that initial friendliness. Our server approached us almost immediately after we sat down. We explained that we were just browsing the tea menu and needed some time, but she returned again about a minute later to ask if we were ready. This repeated a few more times in short intervals—despite us clearly saying we were still deciding. It made us feel rushed and uncomfortable, and instead of enjoying the process of choosing from such extensive and unique menu, we ended up picking teas quickly just to avoid the pressure.
I ordered the Tiffany Rose Melody, an artisan blooming tea that looked beautiful as it steeped—delicate flower slowly opened in the pot. My husband had the Moroccan Madness, which he also enjoyed. The teas themselves were lovely and clearly high quality, and the pricing was very fair for what we received.
After we were served, the service seemed to disappear entirely. When we needed a to-go cup and the bill, no one came by—and eventually my husband had to get up and go find someone himself.
It’s a shame, because the space is nice and the tea options are genuinely great—but the experience felt rushed and impersonal. I hope this was just an off day, because with better service, this could easily be a wonderful spot for tea lovers.
